Grantech proudly announces its cooperation with Siemens Technologies in developing Egypt’s national project to modernize its railway system. The Egyptian National Railways (ENR) awarded a contract to Siemens to modernize a 260 km long railway network in Egypt with advanced technology for signaling, level-crossings and communications technology. This project is part of the national plan to modernize the railway system in Egypt, which will increase safety levels and allow the railway’s maximum speed to be raised from 140 km / h to 160 km / h, boosting throughput of passenger trains and freight services. Grantech’s scope is delivering turnkey EIS and Control Buildings on Ismailia-Port Said route with the highest quality standards to ensure the full automation for the railway interlocking system.
